Breeding Updated for 1.0

Palworld Breeding Calculator

Pick two parents to see what they hatch — every one of the 185 special combos plus the breeding-power formula for the remaining 261 breedable Pals.

Choose two parent Pals to see the offspring.

You need Cake to breed

Every breeding pair needs a Cake in the Breeding Farm. One Cake recipe makes one egg:

Mutations — breeding stronger Pals

Since the 1.0 update, breeding has a small chance to produce a mutated egg instead of a normal one. A Pal hatched from a mutated egg is born with higher base stats than usual for its species, and often an extra passive skill — the fastest way to build a truly top-tier team. Mutations don't change which species hatches; they make whatever you were already breeding stronger.

The odds per egg are low, so mutation breeding is a numbers game: breed in volume and stack every modifier. Using an Extravagant Vegetable Cake in the Breeding Farm directly raises the chance of a mutation and stronger stat growth, so it's worth the extra ingredients once you're farming for a perfect Pal.

How Palworld breeding works

Put one male and one female Pal in a Breeding Farm with a Cake and they produce an egg. The species of the offspring is fixed by each Pal's hidden breeding power (CombiRank): the child's power is floor((parent 1 + parent 2 + 1) / 2), and the egg hatches into whichever Pal has the closest breeding power. A set of 185 special parent pairs override this to produce subspecies and legendaries, and two Pals of the same species always breed true.
