Xenogard guide

Xenogard is a rare Dragon-type Pal that only appears during Palworld's meteorite events — an alien-tech Pal that boosts your energy weapons. It's one of the harder catches in the game because you can't simply hunt it down; you have to be in the right place when a meteor falls.

Where to find Xenogard

Xenogard has no fixed spawn point. It only appears at a Meteorite Event — a random red meteor-strike alert that pops up on your map. Fast-travel to the strike zone and Xenogard may spawn as a boss with an HP bar in place of the far more common Xenovaders, but the odds are low, so expect to clear several events.

Meteorite events trigger in the high-level regions — the icy Astral Mountains and the desert dunes — so come with strong Ice attackers (as a Dragon type Xenogard takes extra damage from Ice) and Legendary Spheres. Lower its HP and apply a status effect before you throw.

Xenogard's best uses: energy-weapon carry

Xenogard's Unknown Intruder partner skill raises your energy weapon damage by 10% while it's in your party, making it a natural pick once you've unlocked late-game energy weapons. Its 120 ranged attack and 130 defense also make it a durable ground mount for the field.

At base it offers Mining 4, and it drops Meteorite Fragments and High Quality Pal Oil — both useful late-game crafting materials that fit its meteor-born theme.

Keep a stack of Legendary Spheres in your fast-travel loadout so you're ready the instant a meteorite alert appears.

Xenogard — frequently asked questions

How do you get Xenogard in Palworld?

Xenogard only spawns during meteorite events — random red meteor-strike alerts on the map, usually in the Astral Mountains or the desert. When you reach the strike site it can appear as a boss with a low chance among the common Xenovaders. Bring Legendary Spheres and Ice attacks, and lower its HP before throwing.

What is Xenogard weak to?

Xenogard is a Dragon-type Pal, so Ice attacks deal super-effective damage. Bring Ice-element Pals and moves.

Is Xenogard good in Palworld?

Yes, if you use energy weapons — its partner skill adds 10% energy weapon damage, and it's a tanky ground mount with 130 defense. It's also a rare, prestigious catch thanks to its meteor-only spawn.
