Dandilord guide

Dandilord is a Grass/Dark-type Pal added in Palworld 1.0 — a World Tree alpha boss that grants your party poison immunity and doubles as one of the best all-round base workers in the game. It doesn't roam the overworld, so you have to hunt it down.

Where to find Dandilord

Dandilord does not spawn as a normal overworld Pal at any time of day. You catch it as a Field Alpha Boss in the World Tree, in the Rotmist Root area to the northeast of the map (north of Dusty Ravine).

The only other route is breeding — and the sole combination is Dandilord × Dandilord, so you need one first. (A Huge Verdant Egg can technically hatch one, but the odds are vanishingly small.) Catching the Rotmist Root alpha is by far the realistic method.

Mist Stalwart and a stacked work sheet

Dandilord's Mist Stalwart partner skill inflicts Poison 2 on the player's attacks when activated, and — more importantly — grants you and your party Pals immunity to Poison. That's a hard counter to the poison-heavy hazards in the endgame regions.

It's also an exceptional base worker: Planting 8, Medicine Production 6, Handiwork 6, Gathering 5 and Transporting 3 — a five-station spread led by top-tier Planting. Between the work coverage and the poison immunity, Dandilord is worth the hunt.

Dandilord drops an Ancient Civilization Core — a key material for late-game Ancient technology — so the catch pays off beyond the Pal itself.

Dandilord — frequently asked questions

How do you get Dandilord in Palworld?

Catch it as a Field Alpha Boss in the World Tree's Rotmist Root area, northeast of the map. Dandilord does not spawn as a normal overworld Pal, so the alpha encounter (or breeding two Dandilord together) is the only reliable way to get one.

What does Dandilord's partner skill do?

Mist Stalwart makes the player's attacks inflict Poison 2 and grants you and your party Pals immunity to Poison while Dandilord is in your party.

What is Dandilord weak to?

Dandilord is Grass/Dark. Fire attacks are super-effective against its Grass half, and Dragon attacks punish its Dark half.
