Katress is a night-only spawn in the Verdant Brook and Moonless Shore regions — head there after dark to find it. There's also a fixed level ~23 Alpha Katress at the Sealed Realm of the Invincible, a small island between Marsh Island and the Fort Ruins, if you want a guaranteed higher-level one.

It's a Dark type, so Dragon attacks deal super-effective damage — bring a Dragon Pal to soften it, then lower its HP and apply a status effect before throwing.

Katress's Mystical Black Magic skill gives a 10% chance not to consume a Pal Sphere when you throw one, and makes Neutral Pals drop 40% more items — carry it on catching trips to stretch your sphere supply, especially early on.

At base it brings Handiwork 3, Medicine Production 3 and Transporting 2, making it a useful crafting and medicine-bench worker. It drops Katress Hair (a cloth material) and, usefully, Advanced Technical Manuals for extra Technology Points.
