Where to find Digtoise
Digtoise lives in the desert — most reliably around the Twilight Dunes near the start-side arena and the edges of the Dessicated Desert. Wild ones sit roughly Lv 17–44, so it's an easy mid-game catch, and it can also appear as a dungeon Alpha Pal.
It's Ground type, so Grass attacks are super-effective. Digtoise has 120 defense — the highest stat on its sheet — so the fight is slow; use status effects to keep the capture window open.
Best use: the Drill Crusher mining skill
Activate Digtoise's Drill Crusher and it enters a Shell Spin, following you around while boosting ore-mining efficiency by 800%. Point it at an ore or stone node and it strips the node in seconds — far faster than mining by hand or waiting on a base worker.
It also has Mining 4 as a base worker, so when it's not out in the field it still pulls its weight at a stone pit or ore node.
Take Digtoise to a dense ore field (the desert and volcano have the richest nodes) and pop Drill Crusher on each vein — it's the fastest early way to bulk-farm ore.
