Mossanda is a Grass-type panda and one of the most useful mid-game Pals: a rideable ground mount that fires a grenade launcher while you ride it, plus a solid four-job base worker. It's an easy catch that stays relevant deep into the game.
Where to find Mossanda
Mossanda roams the central forest and plateau region day and night, and wild ones scale from around Lv 27 up into the endgame, so you can grab an early one and re-catch a stronger version later. It also turns up as an Alpha Pal at the end of a mid-game dungeon for a guaranteed fight.
It's Grass type, so Fire attacks hit it hardest. Soften it with a Fire Pal, drop its HP low, then throw — its species catch rate is comfortable for its level.
Best uses: grenade-launcher mount and base worker
Mossanda's Grenadier Panda partner skill lets you ride it and rapidly fire a mounted grenade launcher — one of the earliest ways to get real ranged firepower on a mount, which makes it a strong choice for clearing camps and bosses.
At base it brings Lumbering 4, Transporting 4, Planting 3 and Handiwork 2, so a single Mossanda covers wood, hauling and farm work at once.
Mossanda drops a Grass Radiant Gem — bank it for Awakening a Grass-element Pal, where matching-element gems give the biggest permanent stat boost.
